20th Century (Nijisseiki) Asian Pear Tree - For Sale from Everglades Farms, Florida

Product Overview:

Looking to add an ornamental fruit tree to your garden? Consider the 20th Century Asian Pear, also known as Nijisseiki. This tree offers everything you could want - easy growth, delicious fruit, and year-round beauty.

Key Features:

  • Unique Fruit Characteristics: The 20th Century Asian Pear combines the best of pears and apples. While it smells like a pear, its exterior is crisp, firm, and round like an apple. The fruit is sweeter and juicier than a regular pear, making it a true treat for your taste buds.
  • Easy Maintenance: This variety requires very little maintenance. With just a bit of pruning, you'll enjoy a bountiful harvest of ripe, fresh fruit every year. The harvest increases over time, with the potential for double or even triple the fruit yield each year.
  • Self-Fertile: The Nijisseiki is self-fertile, meaning it does not require another pear tree for cross-pollination. However, planting it alongside other pear trees in your garden can lead to an even larger harvest.
  • Ornamental Beauty: Beyond its fruit-bearing capabilities, the 20th Century Asian Pear Tree adds aesthetic value to your garden, offering year-round beauty with its lush foliage and attractive blossoms.

Growing and Care Instructions:

  • Soil and Watering: Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Regular watering is essential, especially during the growing season.
  • Sunlight Requirements: Thrives in full sun, ensuring robust growth and fruit production.
  • Temperature Tolerance: Best suited for temperate climates. Protect the plant from extreme cold.
  • Fertilization: Use a balanced fertilizer during the growing season to encourage vigorous growth and healthy fruit development.
  • Pruning: Minimal pruning is required. Prune to maintain shape and remove any diseased or dead branches, which helps improve air circulation and reduces the risk of disease.

Special Considerations:

  • Cultivated in Florida: Our 20th Century Asian Pear Trees are grown in the premium plant nursery at Everglades Farms in Homestead, Florida, benefiting from the region's ideal subtropical climate.
  • Shipping Details: Shipped in a sturdy container to ensure the tree's roots remain healthy and ready for transplantation upon arrival.

I received the tree with a broken stem about 20 inch . The tree was hot cheap and I was told to wait 2 weeks yo see what happens. I mean it’s already a small tree for 95$ plus shipping and the tallest branch comes to me broken because someone tried to stuff it inside of a smaller box. W
