Everglades Farms - Customer Support: Handling Damaged Plant Deliveries
At Everglades Farms, we take great care to ensure that our trees reach their final destinations in excellent condition. However, there might be rare instances when a tree arrives stressed out due to transit issues, such as bad weather or delivery delays. If you find yourself in such a situation, we are here to assist you promptly. Please follow the steps below within 48 hours of receiving the tree to initiate the resolution process:
1. Document the Damage: Take clear and comprehensive pictures of the tree as well as the exterior of the box. Ensure that the entire tree is visible in the images, not just the affected branches. These photos will help us better understand the extent of the damage.
2. Send the Pictures: Email the pictures to our customer service address at service@everglades.farm. Kindly include your order number in the email to expedite the process.
3. Unpack and Water the Tree: Immediately unpack the tree and water it daily. Proper hydration is crucial for its recovery.
4. Keep the Original Box: Retain the original packaging in case we request you to return the tree to us. This helps in safeguarding the tree during return shipping, if necessary.
5. Avoid Planting on the Ground: We want to ensure the best chances of recovery for your tree. Therefore, refrain from planting it in the ground, as doing so voids our warranty. Planting a stressed tree directly into the ground may exacerbate its condition and void any applicable coverage.
6. Nurse the Tree: Be patient and nurture the tree for 10-15 days to allow it to recover. Some trees might require a bit more time to regain their vitality.
At Everglades Farms, we stand by the quality of our products and offer the following warranty:
Our Warranty: Our warranty covers the tree arriving alive and in fair condition. If, despite following the steps provided above, your tree fails to recover and survive, our warranty will apply. We will either ship you a replacement tree or issue a gift card equivalent to the value of your original purchase.
Handling Trees with Minor Damage:
For Trees with Minor Damage: During transit, trees may experience some stress, leading to minor issues such as broken branches or dried leaves. If your tree arrives with these minor damages, please follow these recommendations:
- Pruning: Trim off any broken or damaged branches to encourage healthy growth.
- Hydration: Water the tree daily for the next two weeks to help it regain strength.
- Sunlight Exposure: Place the tree in a location where it receives ample sunlight, which aids in its recovery process.
- Weather Protection: If the weather drops below 60 degrees Fahrenheit, bring the tree indoors or provide appropriate protection to shield it from adverse conditions.
We understand that receiving a damaged plant can be disheartening, but rest assured that our team is here to support you. By following these guidelines, we hope to ensure the swift recovery of your tree and bring back the beauty and vitality it deserves.
