I received a healthy thriving carambola tree very well packaged and in a timely manner. Definitely recommend!
When I received this tree I noticed that the leaves were dry, I spoke to someone from your farm. I was told to water the carambola tree , that the leaves will get back green and healthy. I followed this instructions but alas, the tree never got better. I forwarded pic of trees- please advice
The tree arrived with drooping leaves that didn’t look very healthy. I have been nursing it back to health and it seems to be starting to make a comeback. Keeping my fingers crossed.
The star fruit tree came in in a hard wilted state. I am a very well experienced plantsman having built, owned and operated 3 large plant nurseries in Colorado and 1 in Mexico. (Large to me is 2 acres of greenhouse structure plus minimum of 3 to 5 acres of outside area for shrubs and trees. Grew 99% of what i sold at retail.)
At first, not being acquainted with this genera of plants, thought it may have lost its roots due to rotting or just the species being difficult to acclimate. . Never occured it had been shipped before it was fully rooted. After several days and little improvement, as any nurseryman would do, slid the little tree out of its pot.... there was less than 1/2 of roots at the root tips where it had been root pruned, prior to potting. Roots were healthy, the problem was that it wasnt rooted enough to sell and plant. I assumed that a new or inexperienced employee had pulled this plant for shipping by mistake. I said the same in my email and asked for help. I got no response. My other plants i got from Everglades were very nice, planted well and are acclimating fine. The star fruit ( carambola) is not going to be plantable for at least 2 months. If i had been a customer who wasn't so inexperienced with plants, I would have lost this plant. As it is. I lost a growing season and have a little tree sitting in my Florida room..cripes..
Yes the trees i ordered came healthy but when it was listed at 24-30 and I recieve them and with the pot included they are No taller than 15 inches i definitely was not satisfied and when I reached out to customer service they said sizes aren't exact and can very and wouldn't replace, or even return the trees so I will no longer be ordering here thank you! Lesson learned!
