Mangoes are a hardy tree, but some of the blunt trauma of shipping via FedEx has been enough to crush the root ball container, loosening and redistributing 1/2 of the soil outside causing an Alphonso mango tree to die 2 years ago. Everglades Farm’s re-newed efforts at packaging have resulted in an M 4 Mango tree shipped last week with obvious blunt trauma to the container, 9 days in solitary confinement, delivered upside down, appearing remarkably healthy and without soil loss from the container. Thank you assuring that mango trees can survive the trip to California.
