Shipping restrictions
- Citrus: We ship citrus trees only within Florida. This includes lemons, limes, yuzu, oranges, mandarins, kumquats, clementines, tangelos, and limequats.
- California and Arizona: We ship approved trees only. See the approved trees. Each product page notes any restriction, and checkout will show no shipping options if your cart includes an item that can't ship to your state.
- Tree size: We ship trees up to a 7-gallon pot. 7-gallon trees ship by Ground only, so they aren't available in states we serve by express.
- Nursery pickup only: Trees in 15-gallon and 25-gallon containers, and nursery pots and containers, are pickup only at our farm in Homestead.
Weather and your tree
Our trees grow in South Florida and are sensitive to cold. If you live outside South Florida, we recommend ordering when temperatures in your area stay above 50°F, day and night.
Shipments may be delayed during severe weather. During winter we may hold your order and wait for safer conditions, or pause shipping to colder states until temperatures rise. We aren't responsible for cold weather damage to tropical trees.
Spring Shipping: order now, ship when it's warm
When it's too cold to ship safely to your state, you can still order. Choose Spring Shipping at checkout, and we'll hold your trees at our farm and ship them when your state's season opens. Your order is charged in full when you place it, and shipping is priced at checkout.
| Your state | Shipping season |
|---|---|
| AR, OK | March to November |
| OR, WA | April to November |
| DE, IA, IN, KS, MO, NE, NJ, NM, OH, PA | April to October |
| CT, IL, MA, ME, MI, MN, NH, RI, SD, UT, VT, WI | May to October |
| CO, MT, ND, WY | May to September |
Checkout shows the month your order will ship. If a cold spell means we need to change that, we'll email you. You can cancel a Spring Shipping order for a full refund any time before it ships.
Trees keep growing while we hold them, so we may ship a larger tree in the same pot at no extra charge. If a tree has outgrown our shipping boxes or isn't available when your order ships, we'll offer you a substitute or a full refund for that tree. In some cases we may need to cancel your order and refund you in full.
Common questions
Why don't I see any shipping options at checkout?
One or more items in your cart can't ship to your address. Check the product pages for a shipping note, remove the item, and your options will appear. If you're not sure which item it is, contact us and we'll help.
Why do I only have an express option?
Ground transit to your state would keep your tree in the box too long, so we use FedEx Express to help it arrive healthy.
Why does checkout only offer Spring Shipping?
It's too cold to ship tropical trees to your state right now. Spring Shipping lets you order today, and we'll ship when your season opens. See the shipping seasons.
Can I change or cancel a Spring Shipping order?
Yes. Email csr@everglades.farm any time before your order ships for a change or a full refund.
Can you ship a citrus tree to me outside Florida?
No. We ship citrus trees only within Florida.
My order has several trees. Will they arrive together?
Larger orders ship in more than one box, and boxes can arrive on different days. Each box has its own tracking number.
What if my tree arrives damaged?
Email us photos within 48 hours of delivery. See our tree warranty and return policy.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes. Nursery pickup is available in Homestead, and some large trees and pots are pickup only.
How do I contact you about shipping?
Email csr@everglades.farm or use our contact page.
