Zamorano Pitaya, Dragon Fruit, Dark Red Fruit

When I received my pitaya, I received two 8"-10" rooted pants in fairly good condition. One of the plants had a discolored spot on it the size of a quarter, but I didn't think much of it at the time. I have put them in full sun, kept them watered, and both of the plants quickly began to grow additional branches/offsets. The offsets are now already 3"-4" long after three weeks, with 2 on one plant and three on the other.
I am very happy with this new growth, but at the same time, the spot on the one began to turn brown until it was a dry light brown color and it eventually cracked. I decided to clear the area in case it was rot, but it turned out to be some sort of insect egg sack. I think that this spot is going to heal, but it is a concern until I see it fully recovered.

Plant was received in pretty rough shape… rather disappointing since I paid $75 for it. I am hoping that it survives…. This is what it looked like immediately after I unpacked it… definitely not a plant I personally would have shipped out.

I love how it arrived in great condition and good size plus got two in one thank you so much can't wait til it fruits...The only thing I don't like is that it didn't say if its self pollinator but i will find out when it starts to flower

Really fast shipping, and plant is much larger than I thought it would be. Really excited to watch this grow. Fingers crossed for lots of fruit. I will definitely be ordering more in the future.
