How to Grow a Mango Tree From Seed

Growing a mango tree from the seed inside a fruit you just ate sounds almost too simple to work, and in a lot of cases it does work. What you get at the end, though, isn't guaranteed to taste anything like the mango you started with.

Extracting the Mango Seed

Start with a ripe mango, not one that's still firm or green. An unripe mango is more likely to hold an underdeveloped seed that won't germinate well.
